KATE Winslet has married her third husband in a secret ceremony.

The movie beauty, 37, was given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, as she wed Ned RocknRoll — nephew of Virgin tycoon Richard Branson.

A source said last night: “It was a really romantic, private ceremony.”

The wedding was kept so secret even the couple’s parents did not know about it.

Only a handful of close friends — and Kate’s two children from her previous marriages — were present as the couple tied the knot.

Kate’s spokeswoman last night confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress had married Ned in New York.

But Kate’s dad Roger, when asked about the wedding at his home in Reading, Berks, said: “What are you going on about?”

And Ned’s dad Robert said at his Gloucestershire farmhouse: “It’s not something I know of — but nothing would surprise me with those two.”

Kate and her third hubby Ned, 34, began dating last year before secretly getting engaged in the summer.

The wedding took place in a converted barn and was attended by just six friends from each side. Kate’s children Mia and Joe, from her previous marriages to film directors Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes, were also there.

Kate’s best friend and Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio gave the beaming bride away.

Ned, who changed his name from Abel Smith, is the nephew of Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson, and works part-time for his uncle’s space venture Virgin Galactic.

Best man was Ned’s brother Jack, who was with him and Kate at Branson’s paradise retreat on Necker Island when it dramatically burnt down last year.

A source revealed: “Kate and Ned got married in a really romantic and private ceremony. They had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love. Kate is very private and didn’t want anyone to know.

“She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends.”

A friend said: “Kate has never looked so happy. Since she and Ned got together it has been full steam ahead.

“Marriage has always been on the cards and they’ve been talking about doing it for the last couple of months.”

Another source said of the ceremony earlier this month: “It wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment thing, they had been planning it but wanted to keep it secret.”

Kate had hinted at her intention to marry again, when she said earlier this year: “I still believe in the beauty of committing yourself to another person and in the idea of marriage as an expression of that commitment.”

It is not the first time Kate has married in secret. She wed American Beauty director Mendes on a remote Caribbean island in 2003, with just daughter Mia and three friends in attendance.

Kate and Ned fell for each other after meeting on Necker Island, and were first spotted together at a memorial service for Branson’s father Ted in London in September last year.

They made their first red carpet appearance together in January at the Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles, where the actress won a gong for her role in TV series Mildred Pierce.

Kate had been living in a house near Oxford following her split from second hubby Mendes in 2010.

But earlier this year she and Ned moved to a £2million 15th-century house in the Sussex countryside, close to the home of Branson’s mum Eve.

Ned, the son of Branson’s sister Lindy, has also been married before. He split from aristocrat Viscount Cowdray’s daughter Eliza Pearson just 20 months after they married in 2009. Kate, who grew up in Reading, Berks, was awarded the CBE in November, having already scooped an Oscar for her role as a former Nazi concentration camp guard in The Reader.

Kate was just 16 when she met her first love while making children’s sci-fi thriller, Dark Season.

Tragically, fellow actor and writer Stephen Tredre died of bone cancer four-and-a-half years later, just as Kate landed the Titanic role that made her a world-famous star.

She missed the Hollywood premiere of the film to go to his funeral.

Kate and first husband Jim Threapleton had a daughter, Mia, before separating in 2001. Two years later, she married Oscar-winning director Mendes. They had a son, Joe, but the marriage hit the rocks while the couple were filming Revolutionary Road, which was directed by Mendes and starred Kate alongside DiCaprio.

After Kate’s split from Mendes, she was reported to be “inseparable” from model Louis Dowler, who she met at a party — but the relationship fizzled out within months.

Ned met heiress Eliza when she was just 18, and proposed two years later during a camping holiday in Cornwall.

Princess Beatrice was among the guests in 2009 when they married in a pagan ceremony led by a druid, but the marriage lasted just 20 months and the couple divorced last year.

KATE met “ordinary bloke” Jim in 1997 while filming Hideous Kinky, on which he was assistant director.

They married in November 1998 in Kate’s home town of Reading, and held their reception in a pub.

Their daughter Mia Honey was born in 2000 but they split the following year.

Jim, 39, directed his first film Extraordinary Rendition in 2007, and is now married to special needs teacher Julie Vuorinen.

No2 SAM MENDES 2003 – 2010

OSCAR winners Kate and Sam, 47, married “on a whim” while holidaying on the Caribbean island of Anguilla in May 2003.

Their son Joe Alfie was born seven months later and the family lived together in New York before the couple announced their amicable split in 2010.

Director Sam has won a host of awards, including an Oscar for debut film American Beauty, and was acclaimed for his work on the latest Bond movie Skyfall.

No3 NED ROCKNROLL 2012 – ??

NED, 34, is Sir Richard Branson’s nephew and works as an executive for the tycoon’s space flight venture Virgin Galactic.

He was called Ned Abel Smith before changing his name by deed poll a few years ago.

Princess Beatrice was among the guests at his first wedding in 2009, when he married heiress Eliza Pearson in an open-air pagan ceremony. Ned and Eliza, 24, divorced after just under two years of marriage.

Kate Winslet has tied the knot with her third husband in a private ceremony in New York.

The Oscar-winning actress was reportedly given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio when she wed Ned RocknRoll in front of her two children and a small number of friends.

Kate grew up in Reading, in Berkshire, which is where her parents and siblings still live. There’s even a road named after her – Winslet Place – just off the Oxford Road, in Tilehurst.

The couple’s marriage plans had been kept a closely guarded secret following their engagement in the summer.

Kate, who’s 37, separated from her second husband, Skyfall director Sam Mendes, the father of her son, Joe, in 2010, after almost seven years of marriage.

This followed the split from her first husband, assistant director Jim Threapleton, in December 2001, with whom she had daughter Mia.

She and Threapleton had married in her family’s village church in Reading – which was followed by a bangers and mash wedding dinner at a local pub.

The actress achieved worldwide fame for her role in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, starring opposite DiCaprio.

Kate Winslet’s wedding to Ned RocknRoll was kept under the radar and only attended by “her two children and a very few friends and family,” her representative confirmed. The ceremony was kept so secret that not even the couple’s parents knew anything about it.

Leonardo DiCaprio did the honors of escorting Winslet down the aisle and giving her away as part of the “really romantic, private ceremony,” a source told The Sun. The two have been great friends since their hit film “Titanic,” and she reportedly asked him to do the honors because of that friendship.

“It wasn’t a spur-of the moment thing; they had been planning it but wanted to keep it secret,” a friend told The Sun. In fact, they kept it so secret that none of their parents knew anything about the wedding.

When The Sun asked Winslet’s dad, Roger, about the wedding, he replied, “What are you going on about?”

RocknRoll’s father had the same type of response: “It’s not something I know of – but nothing would surprise me with those two.”

“The couple has been engaged this summer,” Winslet’s representative told People. The two had been dating since 2011, when they were both on the same island in the Caribbean. When a fire broke out, Winslet was able to rescue Richard Branson’s 90-year-old mother. Branson is RocknRoll’s uncle.

“Ned was heartbroken and went to Necker [the island] to take his mind off things,” a source told The Sun in 2011. He had recently separated from his wife. “But when Kate came out they really hit it off.”

The two were inseparable after that, and he grew close to the actress and her two children Mia and Joe.

Winslet had previously been married to Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes; Threapleton is Mia’s father, while Mendes is Joe’s, the BBC reported. RocknRoll, the legal name of Abel Smith, was previously married to Eliza Cowdray.

Oscar-winner Kate Winslet has taken another trip down the aisle, this time tying the knot with Ned Rock’nRoll, the nephew of British tycoon Richard Branson.

Winslet’s publicist Sara Keene confirmed the wedding to ABC News early Thursday morning.

“I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock’nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family,” the rep told People. “The couple had been engaged since the summer.”

“Titanic” co-star Leonardo DiCaprio walked Winslet down the aisle in the secret ceremony, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

Winslet, 37, was previously married to Jim Threapleton from 1998-2001. She then married “American Beauty” director Sam Mendes in 2003. Winslet has a daughter with Threapleton and a son with Mendes.

This is the second marriage for Rock’nRoll, 34, whose real name is Abel Smith.
