Buongiorno Zagulini, finalmente posso raccontarvi la bellissima esperienza trascorsa a ‘Chantilly’ grazie a Longines.
L’azienda e’ stata fondata da Auguste Agassiz nel 1832 con il nome di “Agassiz & Compagnie” per poi assumere l’attuale denominazione nel 1866 in seguito all’acquisto da parte del proprietario di un terreno in una località nota come ‘Les Longines’ su cui l’imprenditore costruì la propria fabbrica di orologi. Nel 1880 il proprietario ha registrato il nome e il logo attuali rendendo la Longines l’azienda con il logo più antico tra i fabbricanti di orologi.
Ma torniamo all’evento! Tiara “Chateau Hotel Mont Royal” incorniciato dalla foresta di Chantilly e’ la location scelta da Longines. Non un ‘semplice’ e ‘comune’ hotel ma un vero e proprio castello! La mia stanza era meravigliosa, imponente, lussuosa… dotata di una TV a schermo piatto, una scrivania antica, un tavolino da caffè delizioso, una vista sulla foresta… incredibile …credevo di essere una Principessa! Ovviamente sono andata a scoprire l’intero Castello che dista solo in auto 35 minuti da Parigi e ospita una piscina coperta, una vasca idromassaggio e un centro fitness! C’e’ un’antica sala da ballo provvista di una grande terrazza, il ristorante Opera e non manca ovviamente il centro benessere per rilassarsi… una vera meraviglia!
Quel giorno alle ore 19:00 mi attendeva una cena insieme agli invitati italiani, eravamo in 6: io in veste di Blogger per l’Italia, una giornalista di Grazia e due clienti con le rispettive mogli… persone deliziose con cui sono entrata subito in perfetta connessione!
La mattina seguente non potevo perdermi una visita della bella Parigi. Indovinate dove sono andata? a “Rue Cambon” il quartier generale di Chanel…pensate che una commessa mi ha persino riconosciuta! (Vi dirò e’ stato piacevole ma anche strano!). La boutique e’ strepitosa con quel tocco di charme che solo i francesi sanno dare… Nell’invito ricevuto per la cena di Gala “Ladies Awards” (una cerimonia prestigiosa che premia le figure femminili nel mondo equestre) c’era scritto che avrei incontrato il Presidente di Longines – Walter Von Kanel – e la bellissima Kate Winslet – Ambassador d’ Eleganza Longines…
Potete immaginare la mia emozione nel ricevere un invito del genere?!?
Avevo bisogno di un vestito favoloso… E’ la bravissima “Chiara Boni” mi ha dato l’opportunità di indossare uno dei suoi meravigliosi abiti! Sono stata orgogliosa, felice e onorata di poter indossare un abito unico, di classe, elegante che fa’ parte della splendida collezione Annika Long de “La Petite Robe”. Un vestito fluttuante color ciclamino che mi stava a pennello! L’idea di Chiara Boni era creare una collezione di capi realizzati in tessuti stretch innovativi per una donna dinamica, continuamente in viaggio, ecco perchè le sue creazioni sono ripiegabili in micro buste di tulle, facili da lavare e non necessitano di stiratura! Come accessori ho scelto delle scarpe tempestate di Swarovsky dell’ultima collezione di Baldinini un’azienda nata nel 1910 e che oggi conta oltre 100 negozi monobrand nelle location più brillanti del mondo del business moda! Le sue creazioni si riconosco dalla qualità dei materiali utilizzati, la manifattura scrupolosa e la bellezza delle collezioni create. Sapete? Avevo quasi timore che quella sera una volta scoccata la mezzanotte mi trasformassi da Principessa alla… Vale di tutti i giorni! …non che mi dispiaccia – anzi – ma per una volta avrei voluto che il tempo si fermasse!
Arrivata nella location della cena di Gala, dove prima sono stati dati i premi per i Ladies Award (piccola importante parentesi: la Principessa Zahra Aga Khan ha ricevuto un premio per l’impegno mostrato nell’allevamento dei cavalli, Athina Onassis de Miranda per aver promosso lo sviluppo dell’ippica grazie al suo show “Athina Onassis Horse Show” e Sophie Thalmann per aver promosso il mondo equestre attraverso l’arte e i media), finalmente vedo Lei, la bellissima Kate Winslet! Meraviglia delle meraviglie… Ed io ero li, all’evento più importante di Longines insieme a Walter Von Kaenel, una persona simpatica, cordiale e affabile!
La sala della cena era allestita egregiamente: tavoli rotondi rivestiti da tovaglie di lino, centro tavola floreali e tutto sistemato in base alla Nazione perchè e’ stato un vero e proprio evento mondiale. Cibo raffinato, persone altolocate, una serata indimenticabile…! Quella sera sono andata a dormire felice come una bimba il giorno di Natale perchè un mio sogno si era avverato!
La mattina del terzo giorno mi aspettava il famoso “Prix De Diane”, la gara di cavalli più ‘in’ nell’ambiente equestre e… come ad Ascot, anche qui il dress-code era abito da cocktail abbinato al cappello. Personalmente ho scelto un cappello bellissimo di Grevi, originale con la veletta dello stesso colore della cintura e riprendeva anche il colore del mio vestito! Quel giorno – oltre a gustarmi l’evento – volevo assolutamente fare una fotografia insieme a Kate Winslet. Arrivata all’ippodromo di Chantilly a bordo di una carrozza, sono stata catapultata in un’atmosfera hollywoodiana: c’era il red carpet con le autorità francesi a darci il benvenuto. Entrata nella sala lounge di Longines tutto era bardato a festa per la presentazione del nuovo orologio “Longines Conquest Classic” in particolare c’era un modello con 30 diamanti: un’unione di acciaio e oro rosa, quadrante in madreperla e lancette di brillanti. Un orologio prezioso, senza tempo, spettacolare ed elegante! La nuova collezione “Conquest Classic” raggruppa modelli automatici dall’estetica classica. I cronografi sono dotati dal calibro L688 con ruota a colonne realizzato da ETA in esclusiva per Longines. Se volete “l’Orologio” in assoluto, scegliere un Longines e’ il massimo!
Ed ecco che finalmente arriva Lei, Kate, con un tubino nero e bianco ed un cappello da “perfetta inglese”! Armata di coraggio Le ho chiesto se potevo avere l’onore di essere fotografata insieme a Lei e… ha accettato! (mi credete se vi dico che tra i ‘commoners’ ovvero le persone ‘normali’ sono stata l’unica ad aver avuto il permesso per una fotografia?). Dopo tutto, mi seguite ogni giorno Zagulini e volevo farvi questo regalo!
Per concludere una delle esperienze più uniche fatte in vita mia, sono andata a visitare le stalle dell’ippodromo, guardato i fantini che si preparavano alla gara e accarezzato alcuni cavalli…

‘Morning Zagulini, finally I can tell you the great experience spent in ‘Chantilly’ thanks to Longines.
The company was founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832 with the name of “Agassiz & Compagnie” for getting in 1866 the current registered name after the purchase of two adjoining plots of land at a place locally known as ‘Les Longines’ where the owner built your own watches factory. In 1880 the owner registered the current name and logo making Longines the most antique watches factory.
But let’s go back to the event! Tiara “Chateau Hotel Mont Royal” surrounded by Chantilly forest is the location chose by Longines. It’s not a ‘simple’ and ‘common’ hotel but a real castle! My room was gorgeous, huge, luxurious… provided by a flat screen TV, an antique writing-table, a delicious coffee table, a view on the forest…incredible …I thought to be a Princess! Obviously I went to discover the whole Castle far from Paris only 35 minutes by car and it has an indoor swimming-pool, a jacuzzi and a fitness centre! There’s an antique ballroom provided by a big terrace, the Opera restaurant and obviously it can’t miss the wellness center for relaxing… a real wonder!
That day at 07:00 p.m. a dinner with the others italian guests was waiting for me, we were in six: me as italian Blogger, a journalist of Grazia magazine and two businessmen with their wives… pleasant people that I felt at ease with!
The morning after I couldn’t miss to go to the beautiful Paris. Guess where I’ve been in? “Rue Cambon” the Chanel head quarter… think about that a saleswoman even recognized me! (Well it was nice but at the same time a bit weird!). The boutique is simply fabulous with a touch of charm that only french people are able to give… In the formal invitation I’ve received for the Gala dinner “Ladies Awards” (prestigious ceremony and prizes meant to reward the exceptional commitment of women in the equestrian world) was written I would have met the President of Longines – Walter Von Kanel – and the beautiful Kate Winslet – the Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance…
Can you imagine how excited I was receiving such a great invitation?!?
I needed a great gown… And ‘the talented “Chiara Boni” gave me the opportunity to wear one of her wonderful clothes! I’ve been proud, happy and honored to wear an unique, classy and elegant gown which is part of the fabulous collection Annika Long of “La Petite Robe”. A fluctuating gown in cyclamen color which fits like a glove! The Chiara Boni’s idea was to create a collection with clothes realized with innovative stretch textiles for a dynamic woman, always traveling, that’s why her creations are wash-and-wear, foldable in micro tulle cases! As accessories I chose a pair of shoes adorned by Swarovsky of the last collection of Baldinini, a company born in 1910 and today it has more than 100 mono brand stores in the most famous cities of fashion business! You can recognize its creations from the high qualities materials used, the meticulous manufacture and the beauty of the collections made. Do you know what? I was almost afraid that once arrived midnight I change myself from a Princess to… the normal Vale! …it’s not bad but for one time I would have wished to stop the time!
Arrived at the location for the Gala dinner, where first the Lady Award prizes have been given (a little important thing: the Princess Zahra Aga Khan received an award for her commitment to horsebreeding, Athina Onassis de Miranda received an award for her contribution to the development of equestrian sports in Latin America, in particular through the “Athina Onassis Horse Show” and Sophie Thalmann received an award for promoting the equestrian world through arts and media), finally I see Her, the beautiful Kate Winslet! Greatest of wonders… And I was there, at the most important Longines event with Walter Von Kaenel, a nice, polite and pleasant person!
The dinner room was pretty well set up: round tables covered by linen tablecloths, floral centerpieces and everything was set up according to the Country because it was an international event. Good food, eminent people, an unforgettable night…! That night I went to sleep as happy as a child in Christmas day because one of my dreams become true!!
The morning of the third day the famous “Prix De Diane”, the most glamour horse race into equestrian world was waiting for me and… like in the Ascot one, also here the dress-code was cocktail dress with hat. Personally I chose a great original Grevi hat, with a veil of the same color of my belt that matched perfectly with my dress! That day – beyond to enjoy the event – I absolutely wanted to take a picture with Kate Winslet. Arrived at the racecourse of Chantilly on board of a coach, I’ve been propelled into a typical hollywood atmosphere: there were the red carpet with french authorities to welcome us. Once inside into the Longines lounge room everything was set up like a party for the last watch “Longines Conquest Classic” collection, in particular there were a model set with 30 diamonds: a marriage of steel and rose gold and features a white mother-of-pearl dial with diamond indices. A precious, timeless watch, dazzling and elegant! The new collection “Conquest Classic” gathers together the automatic classic models. The chronographs have the Caliber L688 self winding mechanical column wheel realized by ETA in exclusive for Longines. If you want “the Watch” in absolute, choose a Longines one, it’s the top!
And finally here you go Her, Kate, with a black and white dress and like a “perfect english” with a hat! Arm in arm with I asked her to have the honor to be photographed with and… She was agree! (Do you believe me if I tell you that among the ‘commoners’ I was the only one to have had the permission for taking a picture with her?). After all, you Zagulini, follow me every single day and I wanted to give you this present!
To finish one of the most unique experience that I made in my life, I went to visit the stables, watched jockeys getting prepare for the race and pampered some horses…
